The Women’s Agricultural Leadership Conference celebrated 25 years on Wednesday at Chaska, Minnesota. Co-founder Doris Mold says the idea for this conference came from research. “The impetus came from a Ph.D. study that said that women were not being represented enough in agricultural leadership in the State of Minnesota and in the United States as a whole,” said Mold. “We were well aware of that, but the research we said we needed to do something different and that we set out to start this conference.”
