A southern Minnesota pork processing plant is preparing to close. In a notice to the state, HyLife Foods said it has faced a variety of issues including inflationary pressures, high grain costs, foreign exchange rates and operational losses. The Windom plant has the capacity to process 1.2 million hogs per year.
