Red River Land Company President Chris Griffin says local farmers are the primary buyers, but there is also demand from investors. “We’re starting to hear a little more pushback on buyers with higher interest rates but generally still a very strong market.” Interest rates are a hot topic, but Griffin says there is more the story. “We’re facing a headwind with interest rates, but I think where commodity prices go into the fall is going to be a main driver of what land values do.”
