Mexico’s proposed ban on biotech corn imports brought USDA Undersecretary Alexis Taylor and agricultural trade ambassador Doug McKalip to Mexico City for another round of negotiations. In a statement, the U.S. trade officials said the proposal is not based in science and would disrupt billions of dollars in trade. The United States will look all options, including formal steps to resolve this dispute through U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement.
