The ethanol industry continues to fight for year-round 15 percent ethanol blends. “We saw the benefits of E-15 this summer with consumers saving up to a $1 (per gallon), but on average 16 cents a gallon across the country,” said Chris Bliley, vice president of regulatory affairs, Growth Energy. “Ultimately, if we moved to E-15, we could save consumers $20 billion, create more than 2,000 jobs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions to the equivalent of taking nearly four million cars off the road.”
