CHS is reporting total net income for the year of $1.7 billion. That compares to $554 million in fiscal year 2021. The cooperative’s energy business enjoyed a dramatic turnaround in its refining margins. The CHS wholesale agronomy business, grain and processing sectors also performed well. With the strong financial position, CHS plans to return $1 billion in cash patronage and equity distributions to its member-owners in the 2023 fiscal year.
