The United Soybean Board is investing $400,000 in research, analysis and design costs for an expansion at the Port of Gray’s Harbor in the Pacific Northwest. The North Dakota and South Dakota soybean checkoff councils have also invested in this project. The upgrades will allow this terminal to increase soybean meal exports from three-to-six million metric tons. The project should be operational in 2025.
