South Dakota Wheat Commission Executive Director Reid Christopherson says the dryness has hurt winter wheat emergence. “A nice shot of rain would help, but I don’t see that in the near future. Humidity is low, the wind is high and temperatures are cooling off as we head into fall. It’s a wait and see.”
