Agricultural groups, including the American Soybean Association, wanted the EPA to deny a petition that would have required more regulation. “It would have had significantly catastrophic results for America’s farmers and the environment,” said Kyle Kunkler, director of government affairs, ASA. EPA is still looking into whether or not the seeds sold are being used in violation of current restrictions.
