Pre-pile sugarbeet harvest continues at Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative. Vice President of Agriculture Mike Metzger said pre-pile is a constant juggling act between Mother Nature, the factory slice and a voluntary base grower delivery system. “We’re trying to keep those things corralled and playing nice together, but the growers are doing well and the factory is doing well.” Sugar content has risen to the 17 and low-18 percent level.
