Senate Agriculture Committee Ranking Member John Boozman is committed to passing the next farm bill in 2023. “This is about giving the farmers stability, the reassurance they’ll have, the programs they need so they can go to the bank to borrow the money they need to move forward.” Boozman offered one caveat during his visit to Fargo. “If the administration throws out a bunch of crazy stuff, we’re simply not going to go down that path.” Conservation and climate will play a role in the next farm bill. Boozman said there’s no guarantee the additional conservation money from the Build Back Better bill will be included in the next farm bill. Hear the interview.
