The North Dakota Mill started taking in new crop spring wheat loads in mid-August. So far, President and CEO Vance Taylor says the quality of the crop coming in from around Grand Forks, North Dakota looks good. “It’s a range of protein so far from the mid-14 percent to low 15 percent. Test weights are well above 60 pounds. It looks good.” Taylor says there has not been any ergot spotted in spring wheat loads yet.
