Mid-August rains are good for the soybeans growing near Warren, Minnesota. North Star Ag Services owner Jacob Edgar says it should end up being a good crop. “The beans are putting on pods at the top, filling up. The majority of the bottom pods are filling quite well.” The corn could use a few more growing degree days. “I’ve got corn that probably would make it if we got a mid-September frost. There is light corn that may not do well if we have an early frost.”
