Emma Jackson from Menahga, Minnesota is a member of the Pine Cone 4-H Club in Wadena County. Jackson shows rabbits in 4-H at county and state fairs. “I show New Zealand: I’ve been showing them for four or five years now.” Jackson had a good time showing projects at the Wadena County fair this year. “It went pretty well. I had hard competition. It’s really nice to meet new kids. I got two blue ribbons for my rabbits.” When Jackson isn’t showing rabbits, she’s learning how to be a leader at 4-H camp. “Being with with people that have different backgrounds and meeting new friends is a wonderful experience.” Jackson, a high school senior, doesn’t want young people to miss out on a good opportunity. “Try to do as much as you can, once you get older you will miss certain opportunities that you wish you had done.” Hear the story.
