North Dakota and northwest Minnesota will likely get extra attention in USDA’s June 30 acreage report. Martinson Ag Risk Management President Randy Martinson says the late spring influenced the crop mix in the region. “We’re going to see less wheat, less corn, more soybeans and more sunflowers,” said Martinson. “I think that will show up in the acreage report as friendly to spring wheat, friendly to corn and a little bearish for beans.” Martinson is featured in the latest edition of the Agweek Market Wrap.
