Sugarbeet root maggot fly is at peak or will be soon. NDSU Extension Entomologist Mark Boetel says windy conditions are skewing the fly count lower. Peak fly should occur over much of the Red River Valley into early this week. “Liquid insecticides are still an option. We’ve had fairly significant numbers in the southern Red River Valley as well. Sabin, Minnesota burst out into the map as a hot spot.”
