In reaction to the truck driver shortage, Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative is launching self-driving trucks. Minn-Dak is working with a defense contractor, Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, for short-haul trucking between the piling stations and the processing plant. Minn-Dak will retrofit the driverless technology into the existing fleet.
