USDA and the U.S. Agency for International Development are providing $670 million in food assistance. A total of $282 million from the Bill Emerson Humanitarian Trust will be used to secure U.S. commodities to address food security in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan and Yemen. Another $388 million in CCC funds will cover transportation costs.
