American Sugarbeet Growers Association President Dan Younggren said it’s been a successful two-year run, despite many challenges. “I hope no other president has to go through a 100 year pandemic like I did, but the work got done,” said the Hallock, Minnesota farmer. “We got the (Mexican) sugar suspension agreement taken care of; we got the WHIP+ program for 2020 and 2021 taken care of and are making great strides with crop insurance.” Younggren said he wouldn’t make any changes to his presidential years. “Do I have any regrets? No. Do I have any reservations? None.” Hear the story.
