The National Weather Service Grand Forks has issued its first flood outlook for the spring. Meteorologist Austin Perroux says minor to moderate flooding is anticipated. “We had that drought for the last year and started out with below normal moisture. We’ve had slightly above average snowfall this winter and now, we’re looking at an average flood season. Things could change if there’s more precipitation in the next two months before snow melt.” Perroux says the extremely cold temperatures pushed frost deeper than normal.
