Sign-up opens on Monday, January 31 and runs through March 11 for the Conservation Reserve Program. “We hope to build on the growing enrollment we had last year in the program,” said Zach Ducheneaux, administrator, Farm Service Agency. General CRP helps farmers establish plant species to control soil erosion, improve water quality and enhance wildlife habitat. Farmers can also enroll in Continuous CRP under the ongoing sign up. Local FSA offices may limit in-person visitors. Appointments are encouraged. Local FSA workers can connect with farmers via phone, email and other digital tools for program sign-up.
