Canola prices are strong heading into spring. Northern Canola Growers Association Executive Director Barry Coleman says many factors play into the higher prices. “The top thing is the drought, but then we’ve got huge demand from biofuels and big purchases from China.” Going into this growing season, Coleman does not expect the country to dig out of the tight stocks situation even with average yields. “That’s certainly bullish for prices going forward.” Coleman participated in the KMOT Ag Expo in Minot.
