The Canadian province of Prince Edward Island hopes to resume shipments of table potatoes to the U.S. within a matter of weeks. Trade was shut down in November over concerns about potato wart. Canadian Agriculture Minister Marie-Claude Bibeau says the United States has agreed to conduct a risk analysis and she is confident the PEI table potatoes will be found to be safe.
