Debra Larson, the vice president of academic affairs and provost for California State University at Chico, wants to continue North Dakota State University’s current momentum. “The commitment by the state, by business and the farming community to the university is really super. It is something quite unique; you don’t find that same sort of enthusiasm in many other places.” Chico State has an agricultural college with a growing enrollment. “We have a very diverse student body that comes to Chico State and are able to enter the agricultural field through that education.”
