With product shortages and supply chain interruptions, rational decisions can become irrational. AgroLiquid Sales Strategy Lead Galynn Beer encourages farmers to do the math and not let emotion take over. “You get people competing for tight supplies and it can overtake decision-making like you’re in an auction and it is that piece of equipment or property that you want and are not always penciling it out to what is best for you.” It is important for farmers to have a process for making their cropping decisions and follow that process. “You probably have a wider window of time to make these decisions than you’d think,” said Beer. “Nitrogen can be applied anywhere from March through early July with today’s equipment so you may not want to put that time pressure on yourself.”
