This past week, three of the North Dakota State University presidential candidates went through the interview process. University of Kansas Vice Chancellor of Public Affairs and Economic Development David Cook kicked off the interview schedule on Wednesday. “The appeal and culture of a land grant institution is part of my family upbringing. From an early age, I learned what I thought universities were about and I feel right at home in that space.” Cook is interested in agricultural research. “We have ag research at KU. I oversee the economic development side of the university as well that has ag start-ups. We’ll talk about opportunities.” The remaining two candidates will be in North Dakota for interviews early this week. The search committee will make recommendations to the State Board of Higher Education.
