Gavilon’s U.S. grain business is being sold to Viterra in a deal that is estimated to be valued at $3.5 billion. The Marubeni Corporation in Japan is the parent company of Gavilon and Viterra is part of Switzerland-based Glencore. There are six Gavilon locations in North Dakota and one location in both Minnesota and South Dakota.
