The Canadian Pacific Railway has completed its acquisition of the Kansas City Southern and the shares have been put into a voting trust. This voting trust will be in place until the Surface Transportation Board approves the deal, which is expected to happen one year from now. The new railroad will be called the CPKC and will be the first rail connection that links Canada, the United States and Mexico.
