Fertilizer costs are high this fall. National Corn Growers Association First Vice President and Minnesota farmer Tom Haag believes that will be a major issue for corn growers in 2022. Haag already locked in fertilizer needs for the farm, applying fertilizer this fall. “We cut back some on our fertilizer and put down ESN Smart Nitrogen, but we have other fields we’ll wait to side-dress in 2022.” Haag attended the NAFB Convention in Kansas City.
