When complete, the Peltier Complex will be North Dakota State University’s largest academic facility. A groundbreaking and naming ceremony took place Friday. Proseed president and general manager, Keith Peltier, said this facility is an investment in value-added agriculture. “It was a great opportunity to honor my dad (Joe Peltier) who spent his life promoting agriculture in North Dakota.” Joe Peltier had a leadership role in the Arthur Companies and is a former state legislator and member of the State Board of Higher Education. Keith said NDSU means a lot to his family. “The involvement of the Peltier family started with my great grandmother Jessamine Slaughter Burgum who was the first woman student here before the turn of the century. We’re invested in NDSU.” Construction for the new facility will begin next spring.
