Supply chain disruptions have become headline news around the world. However, CHS Hedging market analyst Steve Wagner says the impact to grain exports is not quite as severe. “I think it is having an impact, but not as big of one because the grains are a different animal; they are loading and offloading bulk commodities so that is different.” Wagner says the port shutdown earlier this year due to Hurricane Ida has resulted in a late push as the Mississippi River comes to a navigational close.
