Brazilian agriculture consultant Kory Melby says Brazil’s corn planting is off to a phenomenal start. Compared to the long term records, this is the second fastest planting pace on record. Melby says there will likely be an increase in corn acres for the first crop, but the second crop acreage is unknown. “The incentive is there with prices to plant as much as possible, but crop inputs could be an issue after the turn of the year. We have the limiting factors of having enough urea and glyphosate issues.”
