Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack traveled to Iowa for a meeting with Mexico’s Secretary of Agriculture and to attend the World Food Prize event. Following a meeting on Wednesday, Mexico’s agriculture minister said the country would not limit the imports of genetically modified corn from the United States. Mexico is one of the top purchasers of U.S. corn. According to Reuters, Vilsack also told reporters the seed industry will be the next thing the USDA will look at under the Biden administration’s competition order.
