After meeting with state legislative leaders on Tuesday, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz followed up with a letter asking lawmakers to be ready to pass essential legislation during a special session. Walz laid out an agenda on issues like frontline worker pay, drought relief and additional COVID-19 pandemic response. Walz said he is ready to call a special session as soon as legislative leaders and the administration come to agreement on key issues. A compromise deal has been difficult to get with the DFL majority in the House and Republican majority in the Senate.
