A Lake Park, Minnesota farmer has been charged with falsely making crop insurance claims. Kevan Nelson reported crop losses due to excessive moisture in Becker and Clay counties for 2018 and 2019. Kevan reportedly received nearly $550,000 in fraudulent payments. The felony charges were filed in the U.S. District Court in Minneapolis.
