As a third grader, Bradyn Lachenmeier of Tappen, North Dakota begged his parents to join 4-H. Over his many years in both 4-H and FFA, Lachemeier has shown beef and dairy cattle, sheep and goats, along with a very successful judging career. “At the National Western Stock Show in 2018, we were the high team in the Meats Evaluation contest and I was a top ten individual. In 2019, I attended the show for 4-H livestock judging and was the runner-up individual and our team was fourth overall.” Lachenmeier is now in his second year at Lake Land College in Illinois. The judging and showing experiences in 4-H and FFA have taught him a lot about teamwork. “Another passion of mine is helping the younger kids. You owe it to yourself and those kids to keep this industry alive.” This salute to the next generation is sponsored by the Minnesota Corn Growers Association, North Dakota Wheat Commission, AgCountry Farm Credit Services and Associated Milk Producers Incorporated and its Dinner Bell Creamery Brand.
