USDA will release the September Supply and Demand report at 11 a.m. Zaner Ag Group Chief Market Strategist Ted Seifried says Wednesday’s leaked FSA acreage numbers will make this a very interesting USDA report. “The general consensus is corn acres could be higher by half a million to 1.4 million acres. Soybean acres may be about the same as the planted acreage report, but I’m not sure. We’ve never had a precedence. FSA has never released numbers this quickly before.” Seifried says traders don’t have anything of which to compare the leaked numbers. “These numbers are more complete than they’ve ever been. There are big numbers and many traders think yield and acreage could go higher.”
