According to Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack, the U.S. will not see major disruptions to its ability to export grain out of Gulf Coast. River traffic on the Lower Mississippi was shut down for nearly two weeks due to Hurricane Ida. Grain terminals sustained damage, including the Cargill facility which will be down for a matter of months. Vilsack said he understands there will be some disruption to exports, but it will not be significant.
