Farm Bureau is raising its concern with the proposed budget reconciliation package. In a letter to congressional leadership, American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall said the tax increases in the bill will have “a disproportionate impact” on farmers and lead to more consolidation in agriculture. Duvall welcomes the increased funding for conservation, agricultural research and other farm policy issues, but is worried it could impact existing farm bill programs.
