According to Terry Bruns of Rush River Seed and Chemical at Amenia, North Dakota, the local crop has been through a lot this year. “From frost at the beginning of the year, sandblasting with the wind, replants and, of course, the drought and the bugs, but this is a testament to the genetics today on how some good these crops look.” Bruns says the crop on last year’s prevented plant acreage should deliver a positive surprise at harvest.
