The latest weekly export sales report from the USDA shows corn and soybeans with net old crop cancellations. Corn cancellations were reported at 115,000 metric tons and soybean cancellations were reported at 79,000 tonnes. Standard Grain President Joe Vaclavik is disappointed with the export pace, though it’s not unusual to see old crop sales cancellations. “The sales aren’t the issue, but shipments have been slow, well below the pace needed. There are people out there who think the corn export number could come down more. That would put additional bushels on the balance sheet.”
