Pivot Bio has raised $430 million in venture capital, putting the company’s valuation near $2 billion. In an effort to replace synthetic fertilizers, Pivot Bio takes the microbes found naturally in the soil to produce nitrogen. The company’s first commercial product, Pivot Bio PROVEN, was launched two years ago.
