Agriculture and technology industries collided Thursday at the Cultivate Conference, where hundreds of entrepreneurs, innovators, technologists and farmers from around the country came together at the Grand Farm Innovation Site south of Fargo, North Dakota. Delivering the keynote address during the Cultivate Conference was North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum. “Ninety percent of North Dakota land is in farms and ranches, which is already a proven natural carbon source.” said Burgum. “If the world is developing carbon markets, then our farmers and ranchers should be getting paid for what we are already doing. Whether you believe in climate change or not, the solution is not regulation – it’s innovation.” Listen to the story.
