The Enlist E3 soybeans have tolerance to glyphosate, glufosinate and 2,4-D choline. Enlist Field Specialist Steve Snyder said 2,4-D choline is a completely different formulation of 2, 4-D. “Once applied and on the field, there is basically near-zero volatility; we can keep the 2,4-D where you spray it.” There is longer application window where the Enlist product can be sprayed until the R3 stage or when the soybeans start to pod. There has been social media speculation about cupping, but Snyder says that not happening. “You will not see 2,4-D injury on an E3 soybean. We tested it many years before we launched it universities and it has complete tolerance from seed to maturity. If you are seeing symptomology on the leaves, it could be environmental or another herbicide, but it is definitely not 2,4-D choline.”
