Spring wheat acres increased slightly this year in North Dakota and declined in Minnesota and South Dakota. With prevented plant acres back into production, North Dakota’s spring wheat acreage went from 5.7 million acres to 5.9 million. In Minnesota, the acres seeded to spring wheat declined 210,000 acres. South Dakota dropped 40,000. Durum wheat acres declined in North Dakota, while barley acres rose slightly.
