The Senate passed the Growing Climate Solutions Act on Thursday. This bill would help farmers participate in carbon markets. In a press conference following the approval, Senate Agriculture Committee Chairwoman Debbie Stabenow said this is an important bipartisan climate bill for agriculture. “We go to the House now. There’s a bipartisan bill in the House and we’ll work with our House colleagues. This is something President Biden enthusiastically supports and Secretary Vilsack is deeply involved in. We intend to take the next step after celebrating a great victory.”
