Agricultural debt at commercial banks continued to decline in the first quarter and farm loan performance improved. A report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City found the number of real estate and production loans declined and farm debt dropped more than five percent from one year ago. While the outlook is positive for most commodities, the report said the drought and the lack of profitability in the cattle market are concerns.
