The Canadian fertilizer company, Nutrien, plans to increase its production of potash by a half-million tons. That would push the company’s potash sales outlook to a record 13.8 million tons. This announcement follows the European Union decision to impose trade sanctions on Belarus. The sanctions are in response to an arrest of a visiting journalist in Belarus.
