North Dakota Senator John Hoeven plans to bring the Risk Management Agency to North Dakota to take a look at the drought conditions. “I want to get them out here not only so our farmers know crop insurance is available, but because of the early haying and grazing. We need to help ranchers get access to hay and water.” Farmers have also been waiting for an update on disaster aid from 2019: the WHIP+ program and Quality Loss Adjustment program. “Things are moving in a good direction. I can’t announce anything at this point, but Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack knows these are important.”
