To move forward with its planned acquisition of Bunge North America, the Justice Department is demanding the Zen-Noh Grain Corporation divest nine grain elevators along the Mississippi River and its tributaries. If this happens, the DOJ says it would resolve antitrust concerns. The Japan-based Zen-Noh Grain is seeking to take over 35 operating and 15 idled Bunge grain elevators for a price of $300 million. Viserion Grain, which has the backing of Pinnacle Management, is expected to take over the nine grain elevators in this divestiture.
